Principal's Message

It is a privilege and honor to serve as the principal of Robertson Elementary School . As a staff we take very seriously the opportunity that we have to work with your children every day.  We recognize that each child attending Robertson is unique and special.  There is excitement in the challenge of meeting the academic, emotional, and social needs of five hundred wonderful children! The importance of this work cannot be understated.  The education the Robertson students are receiving today brings promise of great success in the future.  By partnering closely with you, together we can insure a positive and exciting elementary school learning experience.  One that prepares them for middle school, high school, and beyond.  Thank you for granting us the opportunity to work with your children every day!

Author to Visit Robertson 

Children's author, poet, and songwriter Eric Ode will be hosting a family night at Robertson Elementary the evening of Wednesday Feb. 22nd.  Please mark your calendars and plan to attend.  The event will be held in the school gym from 6:30 to 7:30.  The evening program will be a follow up to assemblies that Eric will hold with each class throughout the day.  This visit promises to be a highlight of the school year.

What should I be doing each evening to help my child make academic growth? - 

Reading no less than 20 minutes every night is necessary to make annual growth.

Ask your child frequently how many reading points they have earned, the school goal is no less than four per month.

Math homework - On most days students have homework in math.  In addition, all students have math facts (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) they should me practicing regularly.
