Attendance is important on the state assessment dates -

Robertson students in grades 3, 4, and 5 will take the new state assessment, the Measurement of Student Progress (MSP), according to the schedule below.   This assessment will be shorter in length, with more multiple choice questions and fewer written responses than the previous state assessment, the WASL.  As every student is required to take the test, attendance is critical on these dates.

Reading - Grades 3,4,5 on Wednesday May 12th

Math - Grades 3,4,5 on Thursday May 13th

Writing - Grade 4 on Tuesday May 18^th and Thursday 20th

Science - Grade 5 on Tuesday May 18^th

Summer school plan -

Yakima School District will offer a summer school option to migrant students.  Migrant summer school will be held at McKinley Elementary from June 14^th to July 9^th.  Transportation will be provided.  Migrant students will be receiving a letter from the district office providing more information and inviting them to enroll.

Teacher requests -

Looking ahead to next year, parents have the option to request a specific teacher for their child for the coming school year.  To submit a request, please come to the office and complete the necessary form.  We will try to honor requests, but there are no guarantees as it is important that we balance the classes by gender, ability, behavior, etc.
